5 Romantic Ways to Celebrate Your Anniversary At Home

Writer: Celebrate With AmeCelebrate With Ame

Happy Anniversary! I personally think that some of the most romantic ideas are the ones that come from the heart. You don't have to go to a fancy restaurant or go on a trip to celebrate your anniversary. All you need is to spend quality time together and do something meaningful for each other or with one another. Here are five ideas to get your mind flowing! If you need someone to bounce ideas off of, chat with me on my website - I love talking about fun and romantic ideas!

1. Create a DIY collage or shadowbox of your memories together

This is a great way to go down memory lane! Print some of your favorite photos and take any of your old concert tickets, love notes, or vacation brochures to put a collage and shadowbox together. It's fun to get crafty and reminisce at the same time.

2. Get dressed for a date night and order in a 3-course dinner

Just because you stay at home doesn't mean you stay in your pajamas! Get dolled up for each other as if you were going out somewhere fancy; and order in a 3-course dinner. A few local caterers are now doing meal services since they can't do events. Support them! Some of the Bay Area caterers I love that you can order from are: Chris Evans Catering, Pinx Catering and Carrie Dove Catering.

3. Decorate a room full of roses, balloons, and love notes

I'm a sucker for a romantic-looking room. Put some effort in making your room or somewhere in your home look different by adding roses, balloons, and candles. Set the tone for a beautiful night in with your significant other and add notes with reasons why you love him/her.

4. Design a driving scavenger hunt ending with a surprise at home

Do you have any specific places that mean something to you and your significant other? Give hints so he/she can guess where to go next. It's another fun way to go down memory lane. You can drive around places to get out of the house for a bit or you can set up a scavenger hunt at home. Either way, the end should be a romantic or funny surprise!

5. Make your own charcuterie board and set up a romantic picnic

Charcuterie boards have been trending lately so make a charcuterie board for your partner! He/She doesn't like cheese? Add other foods your partner likes as you present it on the board. Using blankets, pillows, and candles, set up a romantic picnic in the bedroom or living room. Read this post here to see how I created this for my husband with details to help you!

Date nights don't have to be too difficult. Don't overthink it - just come from the heart when planning a date and enjoy each other's company without any distractions. Check out more date night ideas on this blog post like setting up a romantic at-home spa night for your significant other!

With love & confetti,

Ame
